-A passion birthed from gratitude-

KiAnna had no IDEA that a kind gesture from a stranger would become the driving force for the thriving business that is now KiAnna’s Kreations. Before KiAnna DeVille was a cake designer/treat maker, she was a US Army Officer who hailed from Suffolk, VA. A graduate of Morgan State University, KiAnna commissioned in the Army and served her country as a Transportation Officer. During that time, KiAnna also deployed to Baghdad, Iraq. One of the moments that stuck with KiAnna while deployed were the care packages that she received from supporters back home in the United States. On one particular occasion, she received a batch of homemade cookies. This generous gift was so touching and so selfless. These cookies would soon spark the idea to use her Grandmother’s red velvet cake recipe and start sending care packages herself.

When KiAnna redeployed back in 2011, she began to send care packages to Troops overseas as well as to her friends for various celebrations. The red velvet cakes gradually expanded to pound cakes as her customer base grew, and before KiAnna knew it she was baking for family and friends every week. In 2013 KiAnna decided to make what was just a creative hobby into a business and KiAnna’s Kreations was born. The red velvet cake was incorporated into her logo to pay homage to her Grandmother Edna, it has now become the signature cake flavor.

"Cakes are special. Every birthday, every celebration ends with something sweet, a cake, and people remember. It's all about the memories."
