Terms & Policies
Returns/Refunds: Due to the perishable nature of our products, we are unable to do exchanges or returns. Once the order has left our hands, the sale is final. If you are not pleased with your order, you may potentially qualify for a cake credit (this does not include the 50% retainer fee which is nonrefundable). The inquiry must be brought to our attention within 24hrs of pick-up/delivery. The quality of the cake is based on our discretion. Orders that have been completed consumed will not receive a credit.
Late payments: A 50% non-refundable retainer fee is required to secure the date for your event, this is due within 72 hours of receiving the invoice. If payment is not received by the date listed on your invoice, and no communication regarding payment arrangements have been made, the invoice will be canceled. The remaining balance must be received no later than 1 week prior to the event. Lack of final payment (and no communication) will result in forfeiture of order.
Revisions to order: We do understand that changes may need to be made closer to the date of the celebration. Design changes, flavors, and quantity increases must be provided no later than 10 business days prior to the event. Changes to the order may increase to the total cost, and will be added to the balance due. Only you as the paying Client are authorized to make changes to the order.
Cancellations and postponement: Should you decide to cancel your order, a credit will be applied to your account and must be used within 12 months from the date of notification. In the event that the celebration must be postponed, we will honor the order for a later date based on our availability. We do not offer refunds for items already purchased ahead of time for the order.
Creative control: As a cake designer, I will not duplicate the design of another artist. I will, however, accept inspirational photos to create a design that is unique to you and your vision. Please review my social media pages to get an idea of my quality of work, skill level, and style.
Allergens/Dietary restrictions: Our products may come in contact with known allergens such as milk, tree nuts, wheat, gluten, and peanuts. It is your responsibility to inform all guests of these ingredients which could potentially be hazardous to one’s health, or unsuitable for their personal consumption due to allergies or dietary restrictions.
Shipping and handling: While we strive to guarantee that your order will arrive when specified, there are unfortunately some things outside of our control like the weather and delays once the package is in the hands of USPS. As such, we are unable to guarantee the time of delivery. Due to weather or other uncontrollable events, we may have your product arrive than requested to ensure that it arrives in good condition. KiAnna’s Kreations is not responsible for delays in transit caused by high package volume, weather, mechanical error, strikes, natural disasters, local carrier mis-scans or inaccurate shipping information, and we do not require a signature for release of any shipment. Clients are responsible for checking that all shipping information is correct before submitting an order as well as in their confirmation email.
Delivery: We service the entire DMV area and abroad. Our delivery fee is 75 cents per mile, based on a one-way route. This does not include parking and tolls. You are responsible for ensuring that we receive the correct delivery address, as well as current hours for the venue. In the event that you are not available to receive the order at the specified time, we reserve the right to leave the delivery location with your order. We will contact you for alternative delivery options at the same rate.
Pick ups: You or your representative are responsible for picking up your order at the agreed upon time. There is a 15 minute grace period after which a $10 late fee will be added and must be paid before receiving your order. You assume responsibility for the condition of the order once it leaves our possession.
